.ABOUT THE PROJECT
The apartment is located in a historic building, yet the client’s request was for a monochrome minimalist interior. One of the playful residents — a black cat — inspired part of our design approach: we planned soft seating areas in dark tones, creating striking accents and contrasts against the warm, light background. The main goal was to design a space where there is no sense of a “standard kitchen” or conventional functionality. To achieve this, the centrepiece of the main room is a freestanding kitchen island, while the kitchen itself features clean, handle-free cabinetry, maintaining a seamless, sculptural quality.
